"SquirrelWarz is a real time strategy game with squirrels. It was released for mobile devices in 2017. This is the game's original soundtrack (along with a few bonus tracks).

The game was created by a small team, so each of us contributed to various aspects of it. I was the lead game designer, SFX designer, and composer, but I also got to help out with some of the art as well.

Working on this game was a dream come true for me. It was so fun to create video-game that had the look and feel of hand drawn art. I wanted the game's sound effects and music to have that same feel, so I limited myself to a small palette of sounds that packed "maximum cuteness".

On the SquirrelWars soundtrack you'll hear melodicas, marxophones, slide whistles, mouth harps, and even whoopee cushions. But I still use some of my toy drum sounds, thick basslines, and chiptune goodness throughout the album too. It's a fun mix of lo-fi acoustics with electronic music.
