"One final trip to the Arcades! When I began this project/learning process back in 2010 I had planned to make this a 10 album series. I had no clue when that would happen, but it turns out that 5 years later, 2015 is the time for this project come to a close. I had so many themes Iwanted to cover that Volume 10 ended up a double disc affair. I hope my humble efforts bring you some great memories of video games of old that as time passes just keep appealing more and more to me. For some years I feared nostalgia was clouding my judgement but the more and more I learn and live the current state of the video game industry, the more I know we really had it all back in the 16-bit generation. I am very happy to close this project and I wish to continue to learn everything I can about music production so don't think this will be my very last venture into retro gaming music. Wonder what I will think of next... I would like to thank video game producers, publishers and composers for the awesome memories of my youth, everyone out there making sheet music and midi files of all these tracks. A huge thanks to everyone that keeps supporting www.vgmusic.com and people working on emulators, sound utilities for retro gaming systems and translations patches for unreleased games in the west. Another round of thanks for people making free VST instruments and effects out there! This project would not have not been possible without YOUR help! :-)" - Shiryu
