Ten years ago I wrote the soundtrack to Lords of Magic. It was like no other music I had ever written before that time, and it ended up being the most enjoyable (and emotional) for me to create. The thought of writing another album's worth of material set in a fantasy realm had been very intriguing to me for some time; but if I was going to do it, I wanted to do it "right" or not at all. In other words, I wanted the aesthetic and technical quality of the work to be the finest possible that I could offer you. I didn't want to write a sequel soundtrack, though; just something new.
