Quicksearch becomes a lot more useful

The default quicksearch bar beneath our site logo has been turned into a dynamic dropdown menu with the ability to search albums, artists and organizations simultaneously. Searches automatically activate after a one-second pause with a 3-character minimum. Clicking on one of the results brings you to the entry page immediately:

The menu items are limited to 140 results for now (100 for albums, 20 for artists and organizations respectively), though this could be adjusted according to member feedback. The default search behaviour is preserved so you can still press Enter to bring up the results page (or jump straight to the album entry if it's the sole match). Have fun!

Kanji searches should work as well, for both album titles and artist names.

This is great! One suggestion though: would it be possible for artist results to come up first (before albums)? In the Uematsu example, his profile is ranked 8th in the results and is somewhat more difficult to spot than if it came up first. Nothing too terrible as I don't think too many albums feature artist names in their titles, yet if the necessary recoding would be simple, it might be worth considering.

Just noticed, you might want to add that feature to the search widget on the start page as well (even if most people see it once and then never again).
