Need help identifying video game music

Hi guys, I'm new to the forums, and I was really hoping you could help me out with this.

I have a MIDI file of a song that I'm reasonably sure is from a video game, but I can't quite place it. I named the file "ffmidi" because it sounds like it would be from a Final Fantasy game, or was at the very least composed by Uematsu, but I don't know that for a fact. If anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it.

Huh. To me it sounds like every piece Uematsu has ever composed for the Final Fantasy franchise, melodically, texturally, and orchestrally. Shame that no one seems to recognise it. Any other takers?

Nope, sorry. Can't seem to recognize this from any of the FF games...

Well, let me rephrase that: doesn't sound like any of the FF pieces I've heard.

I see what you mean it having an "FF-like" flavor, though; although it's more like a "sort of", to be honest. As the music progressed I thought I was hearing a Dragon Quest-inspired theme, Breath of Fire even, more than a FF-inspired one.

I don't believe this is Uematsu and I never heard it before.
It starts a bit like the title theme from Betrayal at Krondor but it's not.
Unless whatever game this is from actually used midi music as a source it could also just be a bad try to convert the original game's music to midi by somebody.
But that game isn't Final Fantasy, I'm sure.
