Hi, please to meet you!

As you can probably tell, I'm a new user!

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this site as I was getting really irritated about the fact that there doesn't seem to be a large and accurate database for game OST track listings and other stuff. I can now finally, finally update my iTunes and fill in all those annoying blanks in properly and translate the Japanese to English names.

All in all, I signed up just to say THANK YOU SO MUCH VGMDB and everyone who helped make this place like it is!

I second seanne.

An Anime website alike VGMdb is the only thing missing. AMdb 'Anime Music Database' would be a great name.

100% agree with ya, Metroid. As I become more and more interested in Anime music, I find myself lost when it comes to finding accurate and complete info about a soundtrack. Anyway, it's all good, I appreciate all the work that's put into VGMdb. :D

Last I heard, the people at VGMdb are working on it and I can say I'll be looking forward to AMdb's official launch :p

Glad to see more folks take an interest in both VGM and anime music.

VGM and AM goes along pretty well. The only problem to implement VGM + AM in this website is since this is a specific website for VGM "vgmdb.net" and vgmdb with anime music would be strange, changing the name to avgmdb would be the best bet or make the anime music AM website connected with the database that we already have here.

I'm all for making a separated database which would be a better choice for only anime music. The 2 databases could be connected somehow. This is something that only vgmdb.net administrators can think and do best. Users opinion and ideas are very welcome, keep in mind that many ideas which had become features in vgmdb.net were first talked and incentived by users.

VGMdb for me far exceeded expectations, thanks goes to administrators and contributors, VGMdb is solid unlike many other VGM websites. VGMdb helped and helps me and now I'm helping VGMdb with submissions, it is a give take cycle.

In general the framework of VGMdb would go without much modification directly to a similar anime music site.

My interest in anime music is mainly just so I can tag my Joe Hisaishi and Yoko Kanno stuff properly. And a few others.

I think that AMdb will be a lot more tougher due it's expanded audience and at last twice the CDs we've currently on VGMdb, Anime is fairly a big one.

it will be a monumental undertaking, just as this site has been, and of course it wouldn't happen overnight. i'm sure in time it would be a huge success though.

Welcome to the site, JDWasabi.

For the Anime database, one of the biggest challenges will be assuring the quality of the submissions. Given the size and enthusiasm of the anime community, we would need to assemble a much larger pool of experts who would become the trusted submitters and the staff who approve submissions. I have a couple of people in mind, but we need a lot more.

Wow, thank you for your welcoming comments everyone!

An anime database would be incredibly useful, I'll look forward to it! It'll be so much easier to know more about the music :D
