Seems like there's a double disc Mario Galaxy that you can get

Think it'll ever be released to stores aswell?

They call it the "Platinum Version". My guess is that they'll release another version to stores at a later date. Doubt they'll limit it to club members.

I wonder if VGMWorld will get ahold of this at all...

The platinum version is on Ebay right now, from US$53.00 - US $65.00. But I'm not posting a link to it, because I may be bidding on it myself.-- Get your bidding fight on peoplez! ;-<>! (LOL, JK).

I got mine some days ago. It's the money worth... I will not know how far the price will go in the next few years.

I just bought a copy of the platinum version from champ des pins yesterday for $50, including the shipping. Is Mahito Yokota a new composer for Nintendo? The only other game I've seen him credited on is Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (Battle for Storm Hill is a really good track; it's featured on the Luigi B-Sides album as well as in Super Smash Bros. Brawl).

Anyways... I still wonder why Nintendo doesn't release a whole lot of soundtracks these days. I bet they know that Brawl has a huge fanbase and that a multi-disc set of such a release would sell, but I guess it hasn't happened yet due to legal/rights issues.

I was thinking about this the other day. It would have to be like a 6 disc set or something unless they kept each track short, omitted non-Nintendo stuff (Sonic, MGS, etc...), or omitted repeats (old NES tunes, tunes from Melee).

I'd buy it, tho.

I'd rather they didn't omit a single track from previous games (specially Melee, remember that there's no album release of it, and some of the songs from Melee even have slightly different instrumentation in Brawl) with some exceptions like songs which are just direct ports.
But anyway, back on topic, my copy of the Platinum version (also from champ_des_pins ;) ) is in its way, so I should be enjoying it soon. So far I loved most of the music when playing the game, I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

I've got my own copy of the platinum version which is still sealed. I managed to get FLAC copies of the entire platinum album from the user 'N00B' off of VGM Central on the Direct Connect network. I just loved keeping my VGM stuff sealed and downloading the tracks from other people. Let someone else open the CDs so that I can experience the music, and I'll keep my own copies sealed and in minty fresh mint condition, thank you very much ;-</-\>! LOL, J/K!
