I added a "Dragon Ball" franchise and linked it to this title. We also may want to add a Dragon Ball Z franchise (if indeed it has different subproducts), but I'm not as familiar with this series.

As an all encompassing franchise Dragon Ball is more correct, the series in order go Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball Z Kai. Then there are the Games and Movies/Specials/live actions that go with each.

We can (and usually should) have multiple franchises, so it does sound like we need Dragon Ball Z franchise as well.

I thought by this you were saying to use Dragon Ball Z as the basis of the franchise to hold or link all the others to. Which I thought should be Dragon Ball since it came earlier.
