Default Country of Origin

I'm sorry if this has been answered elsewhere or otherwise discussed - I couldn't find it.

Is there any way to search or sort by what has been released by country? It would be very helpful in licensing for the United States - if we could sort by what soundtracks have had an official US release (record label, Nintendo Power, iTunes USA, etc.).

I'm not suggesting we go back and add it to the thousands of releases here, but if I'm missing it somewhere, do please let me know.

Thank you!

You can go to the advanced search, under publisher type uncheck doujin/indie and bootleg, under category click once to get the green checkbox at "game" (and for more restriction, you can select the red x for other categories, it appears on a second click). Next, look a bit more down and find "currency region" that works as a country where the release was marketed and sold. Choose the currency you're interested in, tweak more or less and hit the search at the bottom.

The only noticeable problem is for Euro - meaning all the countries using the Euro are simply "merged" if selecting it as a currency so you can't set the parameters in advance to know which is German, Italian, French etc. release. However, the notes might have "German release/version" or such (additionally enter something like that in the "notes contain" search field to find these albums better). Only the releases before the introduction of Euro retain European country specifics (so for example, if choosing DEM, you'll get the German releases while Deutsche Mark was active). There's no problem for countries that never adopted Euro though.
