Thanks for adding the record to the db.

Some more...

Disco Night Fever - looks like a sampler, including music from the Mario Syndrome release (lower right corner)

Star Soldier - vocal 7"

EDIT: There is also an LP for Star Soldier titled 'Running Boy' (cat.# 28X-112)

Quote from this eBay auction:

Quote:
Up for sale is a super rare BIOHAZARD 3 Last Escape Original Sountrax Music CD (2-CD set).

This set is rare because it was published by Ubisoft for China market. It was included in the platium deluxe version (limited to 2,000 only) when Ubisoft released BIOHAZARD 3 in China on PC.

This will probably be the only chance you will see this on ebay.

Great for RE collectors who collect different versions from all over the world.

Not 100% sure, but i think this vinyl is more related to the Anime "Running Boy Star Soldier no Himitsu" than the NES game. Maybe a side of the vinyl is for the game though.. (?)

Possibly yes, dunno much about Anime. Although the insert shows pictures from the NES game? Guess the vocal 7" accompanies that LP.

Here's an oddity:

In 1994, there was a "Codemasters Magazine" ? and with it came that CD.
It have "Psycho Pinball" (game by Codemasters) on the front cover, but the music is not related to the game, it's just mainstream metal.

1. Warrior Soul / Television 3:37
2. Freak of Nature / Enemy 4:36
3. Apes, Pigs & Spacemen / Do I need this 4:49
4. Tangled Feet / Messiah 5:38
5. Annihilator / Speed 4:35
6. MOD / Crash n' Burn 2:31
7. The Exploited / The Massacre 3:03

I did a search about that CD, and it have in fact, nothing to do with Either SNK, nor Neo-Geo, nor game music.

It's an indian music/vocal CD... they just used illegaly that logo as a cover (why.. o_O ?)
Infos found in this thread.
Some of the musics on this CD can be listened on dailymotion.

There's not a single result on the Japanese google for that catalog number..
I have no idea what it is about, and it was probably cancelled?

Found a short-lived circle called Wavy Green, run by a guy named KANGO in the late '90s. The site was in Troubadour Records's link list: http://web.archive.org/web/199908291...ngo/WavyGreen/.

The site only ever had information on one album, Meltia(?) ~Inishie no Kioku~ (メルティア 〜古の記憶〜). And there's not a lot of information about it: no release date, price, etc. I couldn't find any references to the album anywhere. I'm not certain it was actually released, which is why I'm posting here and not making an album entry.

What the page does say is that it was an anime concept CD, containing an original opening theme, insert song, and ending theme, as well as karaoke versions of each and two remixes. The musicians who made the original songs are provided, and the composition staff may prove interesting:

opening theme: STEP!
Composition: B.K.O / Vocals: 菊地望 / Lyrics: 山田慎也

insert song: Standin' with you
Composition: Takahiro Ogata / Vocals: 中村真紀 / Lyrics: 山田慎也

ending theme: 天使のハーモニー
Composition: Yasuyuki Suzuki / Vocals: 菊地望 / Lyrics: 山田慎也

Bought some Anime LPs lately and one of them is titled "Animetopia Song Festival '86". It contains vocal tracks to obviously Anime, but my Japanese skills are too bad to decipher any possible names of the related Anime titles. However, I'd love to add this to the db. It also runs under the JBX-25XXX stem (JBX-25086) which already has several albums listed here. Anybody willing to help me with this one? I could provide scans.

Ok, thanks a lot. I did find some names in the db, as they are written in Romaji on the cover. Can you spot any Anime titles? To which Anime (or event?) is this album refering to? If you need better quality of particular parts let me know.

Maria Kawamura
Miina Tominaga
Chika Sakamoto
Yoko Asagami
Mayumi Tanaka
Saeko Shimazu
Miki Takahashi

Here are some photos of the record:

Well this one might actually be legit - a licensed release for Chinese market. It has Ubisoft and Capcom logos. Quite an exception I gotta say since normally Chinese market is filled with unlicensed books, games, dvds for Biohazard series in particular. I've seen a lot of those. Sometimes they do custom made bootleg dvds, which consist of random footage taken from Capcom's official dvds plus add some footage of their own (made with a capture card), then included with some books/guides (e.g. with their version of Biohazard Archives).

全日本GT選手権 HYPER BATTLE GAME 1994 MEMORIAL DIGEST

I wasn't able to find much info about this online.
Yamada Shop lists it as First Press Bonus for the SFC game Zen Nihon GT Senshuken. Release date would be 95/09/25 then. We'll see when the CD arrives

I am a bit lost about the following:

I found 2 different "Akiba's Collection", and i am not sure if they come together or how could you choose one of them.

- There's a soundtrack version of Akiba's Trip 2, it says printed in Hong Kong on the back.
- There's a drama cd version, it says printed in Korea.

The drama CD is the preorder bonus for Japan ("AKiBA'S TRIP 2 ドキドキ温泉物語"), maybe other places.
And the OST for China / Taiwan apparently ("AKiBA'S TRIP 2 ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK"), tracklist.

- Lots of albums on GMR are not really related to VGM, and some are so obscure i can't even attach a game name on these albums.. that's why i am going to ask some help.

- This thread is also open to everyone that want to ask questions about some obscure albums they found and have little to no informations about.

I'll probably bump this thread often, adding newer entries of albums/catalog number i have a bad time to identify.

KECH-1037

水の守護神-ガーディアン- サイコロじかるゲームCD
mizunoshujokami (Guardian) Drama CD

GMR says it's a Drama CD, but it should translate to "Game CD".
The game name is probably "水の守護神", but i did not found anything good with it.
Here's covers i found in the past, the 3rd one with the Obi (a bit small but still readable ?) is probably the best hint i can provide.
front - back - front with obi

This actual YJA auction shows some cards... is it a card game and that's a CD for it or something like this?

KECH-1056

ノーザン・ヴァース
Northern Verse

Talk about an obsure album.. googling the catalog number will give you only one answer in Japanese.
And it does not help us much.. composer should be "新井智詞" (Tomoji Arai ?)

Any infos on that one ?

KECH-1137 / KECH-1138 / KECH-1139 / KECH-1161 / KECH-1162 / KECH-1163

CDドラマDUO 彼方から Vol.1~6
CD Drama DUO Kanata kara Vol. 1~6

These will be easier i think.. i've looked for "Kanata kara", and it's a Manga by Hikawa Kyoko, and these Drama CDs are related to the manga. I don't know any game related about it.
wiki manga article
fan site with good informations

I think we have to exclude these albums ?
How about anime albums too?

Here's a rare one I haven't seen before:

紫炎龍 SHIENRYU

8cm CD (pictures from http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f142148669)

FLYING HIGH
Composed: SHO
Arranged: Takashige Inagaki

2-D-S-M-F
Composed: yucky
Arranged: Takashige Inagaki

WITH LOVE FOR THE BLUE
Composed: bAshEE
Arranged: "Wacha"

it's a Sega Saturn shooter, later ported to PS1 and PS2 so the release date may have been as early as 1997, pretty interesting considering the artists involved.

Super B-Daman: Battle Phoenix 64 Soundtrack (India Version)
スーパービーダマン・バトルフェニックス64 サウンドトラックインディアバージョン

Mentioned on KENYU's CD list: http://www.realing.com/CD%26Music.html. It appears to be self-published and he's taking orders through a webform on his site.

No other info on this besides a mention on this site with a case pic: http://isouhanten.sakura.ne.jp/cs/hudson.html. That page calls it "Idea Version" (イディアバージョン) but there's definitely a ン on KENYU's cover pic. I'm not really sure what that subtitle is about either way.

Chubby Checker - Dig Dug

Quote:
Here is the Chubby Checker version of the ATARI DIG DUG song that was suppose to be featured in the Clio Award winning commercial that came out in 1983 and was shown in theaters nationwide. I haven't been able to uncover why it wasn't exactly used (replaced by an unrecognizable band playing the song in the actual commercial), so if anyone knows, please share.

Taken from a North American ad for Duke Nukem: Zero hour:

Red Interactive also published Duke Nukem: Music To Score By ~ The Official Duke Nukem Album. I don't know if Time to Kill and Zero Hour have the same music.

It's the same question as above:
http://vgmdb.net/forums/showpost.php...&postcount=103

It's not vocal tracks from anime but rather from a radio show called "Animetopia". It was aired from 1979 to 1986 on radio Osaka.
It was a talk show hosted by 2 MCs, usually two voice actresses.

There was 4 "pairs" totally:
1st: Yoko Asagami (started alone) & Rihoko Yoshida
2nd: Mayumi Tanaka & Saeko Shimazu
3rd: Miki Takahashi & Chika Sakamoto
4th: Miina Tominaga & Maria Kawamura

You'll notice that there are 2 more people on this LP:
- Youko Ogai: she was news corner MC for 3 "seasons"
- Toshiaki Yokoyama: he was the director; he's singing on track 8 (B-3)

Tracks 1 (A-1) and 9 (B-4) are respectively the 4th Opening and Ending of the show.
Other tracks are original songs.

There is also a CD version, VDR-1178 with bonus karaoke tracks for OP/ED.

The song "Rouge" can also be found on Maria Kawamura's 31th Anniversary Box "Odyssey"
