Delete one of the Japanese track listings as I entered it as it was on the CD. Which was
3~10 BGM (yep that what it says). Will post covers later. |

This is a weird release. Back in '94 Garou Densetsu was already three years old and the only release which would qualify for that date would be the Neo Geo CD version which then again came out in September while this CD is from February.
Does anyone have any info on this? I don't think it was included with a book as the notes suggest. That info was probably mixed up with the MWCG stem CDs which were included with game-related books. I'll be getting this CD shortly so I hope to find more information on the inside of the case but I'm doubtful. Will add scans soon. Anyways, composer and arrangers updated according to the cover. EDIT: Looks like jamtex wasn't so sure about the book thing himself as the edits suggest As this is a 'not for sale' CD I'll vote for promo item. Last edited by suicider; Apr 30, 2019 at 10:06 AM. |

As expected no more infos on the inside of the case. The BGM tracks are from a port of the game, not the Neo Geo version. Tracks 1+2 are arranged. I'll check the ports again and hopefully find out to which game this belongs
EDIT: checked the games and none qualifies. Neither X68000, SNES, Neo Geo CD or Genesis. Perhaps a NEC PC-Engine Super CD prototype that was never released? I dunno. However, I'll remove the 'Arcade' representation for now. Last edited by suicider; May 4, 2019 at 07:43 AM. |

Finally some more information on this obscure CD. The last page of the MWCG-0002 release by Dengeki CD Bunko reveals this is a bonus disc for buyers of both volumes (MWCG-0002 & MWCG-0004) of their Drama series. Details about participation are revealed in Vol. 2 (I only have Vol. 1, doh). I'd suppose you'd have to send in the proof of purchase of both volumes (upper right corner) but I could be wrong of course.
Could someone who knows Japanese be kind enough to filter the relevant information? As far as I understand it says arranged version of the original music. Anything else? EDIT: After listening to the Drama (Vol. 1) I can say this music was used as background music for MWCG-0002. Now I wonder if there are parts of it used in Vol. 2 too (probably). The booklet of MWCG-0002 gives details on arranger and performers so I'll add scans for these soon Last edited by suicider; Jun 9, 2021 at 06:58 PM. |
