This could be really, really good. I love Kenji Ito's compositions even though I'm not overly fond of the synth rock arrangements he's done a lot of since the technology has allowed. The sample of "Rising Sun" is excellent; I can only hope "In Search of the Sword of Mana, "Dungeon 3," and "Battle 2" fare even half as well.

Are there any purchase or information links out yet?

Oh dear, edited my original post. Whoops!

I see now the two sources of availability - I'll wait until it pops up on CDJapan, then.

CDJapan usually list new items a month before they release right?

CDJ has been pretty slow about putting stuff up lately. I have a sneaking feeling they're doing it on purpose to milk a few extra DAIKO orders but that is complete speculation. The FF album coming out at the end of February isn't even listed yet.

That's probably not the case since it's not even on neowing yet. They're pretty fast with anime albums (they're up on cdjapan the day after they're announced or even the same day), it just seem they're very slow with game albums.

If you see it on neowing and not on cdjapan though just send them an email, it happened to me a couple times and they'll just list it shortly after.

Same here. If you ping them about any new releases, they promptly add stuff.

If you are talking about the Mobius and Brave Exvius soundtracks, they are Square Enix e-Store exclusives unfortunately, which is why they are not on Amazon JP either. CDJapan has listed them, but as special orders because someone asked them, which means they are quite expensive.

some sites like oricon use the legend of mana tracklist for this release, but honestly I have trouble to believe it's correct

edit: I fear they coulda failed copying the right tracklist and that release could get the wrong tracklist (I won't laugh if it's that and they realize that error and force recall and delay the release till may :/)

Yeah. And what I also believe happens when making a special request is a second sale page is generated of the album for the special order, making it look like it's available online. But if I recall, the description of that second sale page says that if you try to process a checkout of that album and weren't the one who specially requested it, it will cancel the order.

If anyone saw Brave EXVIUS show up for a moment as a second page on CD Japan, it probably was from me (or others) special ordering it.

seriously, when you hear samples and you have images of the remake in mind, it's day and night

- Added liner notes
- Added performers
- Added Nobuo as a composer per liner notes.

Shouldn't that be a featured credit? Forgive me if that's a stupid post, but it seems like Nobuo Uematsu had no hand personally in the version heard on this soundtrack since it was arranged by somebody else. I think the liner notes are just giving due diligence to crediting Uematsu for having composed the original song. EDIT: Looks like he's featured now, cool.

Will be doing packaging scans today or later this week.

I'm going to list the English as English (iTunes). If anyone wants to go for a more faithful translation (pleeeease), be our guest.

If I'm not mistaken, almost all tracks (if not all that needed a translation) are here already, with more literal titles

When I ripped this I was pretty satisfied with the iTunes version. Only exception was small formatting stuff like ダンジョン# adding the word Theme and the last track More Rock becoming Rock Harder, but even those are still fine because the meaning is still maintained. Just slight nuance. Figured doing a literal would mostly be redundant.

Those things you pointed out were the same things I noticed while ripping my CDs. That and I really think "Endless Carnage" just sounds too dark for this game, always did prefer "Endless Battlefield."

But yeah ... as Ef points out, we can just use prior Seiken Densetsu 1 tracklists to put together a fan-trans/literal tracklist. If anyone feels so inclined.

I just finished scans, will upload soon
