Yasuaki Fujita had no active role in Mega Man 4.
Observe: http://www.hcn.zaq.ne.jp/first_circl...n_shoukai.html - Yasuaki Fujita's list of works from his web site. Under the Famicom (FC) section, he only lists four games: -ロックマン3 (Rockman 3/Mega Man 3) -天地を食らう2 (Tenchi wo Kurau 2) / 天地を喰らう2~諸葛孔明伝~ (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WSi4q1qrn8#t=3m27s) --> I can't tell who the three people at 3:42 are, however -リトルマーメイド (The Little Mermaid) -ダークウィングダック (Darkwing Duck) Because Fujita didn't list it among other games where he definitely handled both music and sound effects (i.e. Rockman 3), just music (i.e. Final Fight 2 [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImU1YDo1Wu4#t=1m08s]), or just sound effects and programming (i.e. Blazing Star [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZPU1EMUvsA#t=2m23s]), I can now safely conclude that Minae Fujii composed all of 4's music as well as the new sound effects (i.e. "Menu choice cancel" [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TjIEl6IrEA at 0:03]) Yasuaki Fujita, therefore, must only be there for carried-over sound effects, much like Manami Matsumae's sound effects from 1 were originally intended to be used in 2, thus the credit remained. This is supported by the fact that 移植作業 (porting) roles found under the JAVA, PS, PS2, SS, D-CAST sections are also included, suggesting that all of his roles are present here. Whatever reason he was listed in Mega Man 4's credits, it certainly wasn't for anything he did. He clearly shows that he was not involved with that game at all. Yeah, the little things we geek out over that I don't think composers would understand. I'm trying to pinpoint when it was first used. Final Fight Guy in early '92?

It's a bit tragic how nearly every single major developer has had their most influential composers leave them. Though it's up for debate, I'm sure that's more on the company than on the musicians. What's the last Capcom game that even used the logo theme?
Also, Fujita is awesome.

whoa, that's awesome news strugglepoo!
would also be great to find out who did the classic Konami jingle and the ps1 era Capcom jingle as well, haha. and yea, as far as I know, the Fujita composed logo first appeared in 1992. as for the last official time it was used, perhaps Rockman & Forte? Tatsuya Nishimura also did Eye of the Beholder, I'm almost 100% positive.

In that e-mail Yasuaki mentioned some songs Tatsuya worked on. I just thought I'd tell people that he also worked on EotB.

Sure, I can do that. I'm not sure if I should reverse the previous credits (from Capcom wikia) as they are unsourced and ended up conflicting with Fujita's report.

This isn't the first time information from composers has conflicted with what the Capcom Wikia says. I'm quite sure a lot of the breakdowns there are guesswork and probably shouldn't be trusted.

I can almost guarantee you that most of them are all guesses. Seems like "HubStyle" went through the soundtracks and allotted a credit based on the style of the song. Now that's fine if you're just suggesting they did it, but he seems to present them as fact.

I'm guessing that's the same guy who used to post here, until he was called out on it and ragequit...

Does anyone know where of if it's confirmed that Fujita-san composed the music to The Shinri Game 3 (SFC)? Some sources like Wikipedia say that he did that game, but I haven't found any info from a reliable source, and unfortunately, that website where he listed his works is no longer up.

His website is still up for me. It does seem like he isn't credited at all for the game, not even for SFX. Then again, he doesn't list Final Fight AC either.

The PS1 version is listed on his profile, though. SFC Shinri Game 3 was developed by Ukiyotei, so it's not a long shot.

Is this the ending to the SFC version of The Shinri Game 3 (I can't read Japanese)?
http://www35.atwiki.jp/sfcall/pages/959.html And if so, are there credits in that text? It doesn't look like it. Last edited by ntwrk506; Feb 4, 2015 at 06:42 PM. |

The Shinri Game 3 doesn't seem to have credits, no. I checked a video a couple of days ago and it looped back to the title screen.
