you can take arial unicode font or some other fonts from xp and install them on win7 (I installed arial unicode because the heart symbol for example doesn't display on win7)

Just like searching for things less than 4 characters long I think exclusions under 4 characters long will be ignored (except for Ys).

Whenever I try to pull the track titles for Bravo Music (http://vgmdb.net/album/5442) I keep getting

Unhandled exception
at Unicode.1437 -> INDEX-RANGE

The only info I can find about it is:

I checked the tracklist, it has no Unicode in it. It might be the " : ", but I don't think this is something unique to this tracklist.

I was able to put the info into EAC normally, I just couldn't query it from vgmdb.net freedb. Here's the final extracted cue sheet, it doesn't look any different than any other cue sheet I've done. And I had no problems during extraction as long as I didn't query freedb. Happened on both discs.

Could be. Is it the number of artists? I dont see any Unicode in their names. And I don't have any issues if I sync an album that has JP titles either since I'm in JP region now...

I'm not 100% sure it's actually a bug, but when you change the title of a thread, only the title in the first post's "head" is changed. Here for example.

I'll ask Blah about those when I see him on IM. They were turned off a couple of weeks ago because Amazon thought we were a suspicious site and reported us to the DNS agencies. Obviously their heuristics were in error, but we need to figure out why before those go back on.

When assigning artists, names that has 3 or more parts, like "Junichiro "ojjy" Ojima" are shown as unassigned (after trying to assign artists ofcourse). It's been like this for a long time, so I guess it has been discussed before. But is there any chance this can be solved at all?

It's actually not the 3 names that's the problem. It's the quotation marks. I spent some time a while ago trying to make that work, but never succeeded. I'll have to give it another try.

When sourcing images, if your URL uses https it will not be properly linked.

Ex. http://vgmdb.net/db/covers.php?do=view&cover=137156

I tried on Chrome and IE and it was the same on both.

I think https has given us problems in the past for some of the other links. Anyway, I put a fix in for these credit links, but will probably need to add it to some other places too.

Hey guys.
I do have various reports, and i can also include me as it also happened to me...

There are some scan uploading problems since a few weeks.
It hapens only when more than 1 scan is submitted.. sometimes one of the scan is replaced by a copy of the scan that was uploaded just before, resulting in 2 identical scans. (ex: here, i haven't corrected the submissions yet)
Matter is that is not really visible until you check the scans in the gallery once they are all uploaded. Also because they were "labelled" right, the uploader might not see that error.
I have been PMing some submitters to re-upload their scans, something i never had to do before.
Is anything wrong on some scripts or something ?

I've actually seen this happen too. It's happened to me infrequently, and usually with small files (like the ones you get from YJA). Sometimes it's just the thumbnail image that is glitched, and other times it's the main image or all of them. We'll have to see if Gigablah has some insight on this, because it's not the php code that's doing it. Maybe it has something to do with caching.

fate/zero ost limited blabla at the bottom of the page, showing in calendar but not in search

January 2011 has one as well, the Chrono Cross iTunes release. Not saying that this means it isn't normal behavior, but I experienced this as well.

It also makes me want to find other entries that have been disabled But I think that if the release date is removed, then these probably won't show up in the calendar anymore, right?

We have been filtering out all the inactive albums (there are over 150, many of which are just dupes - I should probably delete those ones), but it looks like the boolean logic in the WHERE clause wasn't quite right given the operator precedence -- we had a AND b AND c OR d, when it should have been a AND ((b AND c) OR d). So, if there wasn't a release month or day, the last OR took precedence, and we got inactive albums on the bottom of the January calendars.

Anyway, it's fixed now. Thanks for finding this tricky one.

1. Set "Title/Name Language" to Original
2. Go to an Japanese artist group page
3. Linked group member names are still Default rather than Original (Romaji instead of Japanese)

Hovering over linked artists doesn't display the original either, like it does on entry pages.

I'm getting this error again, this time on Ghibli ga Ippai. I'm beginning to think it is related to the length of the artist field.
