Although I'm not sure if it was officially discussed elsewhere, I think we use "alias" when an artist has another identity on our database, and whether the name in question is the real name of his/her or not doesn't matter here. This is not the first case I saw an "alias" entry not linked to any artist entry, so perhaps it may be worth taking a bit.

Yeah, the point of alias was to allow us to link to another artist page.

for the record, coda doesn't want his real name public at this time, so artist is correct. i can see how it was confusing though... alias in this instance doesn't mean "pseudonym" like it usually would but rather "sub-artist", which isn't obvious from the artist submission form.

That other coda is a Japanese vocalist. They have different sites and Twitter accounts so I'm pretty sure they're different people.
