I'm currently a college student, composing for a French RPG, for free (because it's my 1st project). I compose classical/soundtrack style and jazz. What is the next step? Now that I'm working on a project for free, gaining experience, I want to move to the next level, enter the business.

Wow, I'm impressed. Especially liked your Outlaws medley. Good luck in the composing business.

Awesome!
You have taken an excellent first step getting your name out there this way. Your YouTube page is already a good portfolio of sorts but don't forget to add this to your resume. You could also post a classified over at this forum. http://www.idevgames.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=4 |

Unfortunately I don't have any helpful information (because I know nothing about the industry at all).
But I really do have to say, your improvised jazz riff in "Music Theory, what's that?" was just really great. You really flew across those keys... you can sure play, clearly. I also enjoyed Vermillion City and Motzhand, as you called it (just listened to the original yesterday!). |
