"The music in Missing Scenes was all originally created for soundtracks — games, videos, online media, etc.— but through various twists of fate was never used and never released previously. This was music I enjoyed making, drawing on some of my favorite visions of sci-fi and otherworldly atmospheres. It is a diverse collection of music, but all of it shares a very electronic charcter. The tracks were rescued from my archives and given some re-editing and remixing for this album, in particular bringing out the beat-oriented character of the uptempo tracks, which originated in a fast-paced action game project. These are balanced out by the slower, more mood-oriented tracks in which I have tried to capture the feel of my favorite kind of cinema influences."
The following tracks are reworkings of tracks from the game Oni, which is most likely the "fast-paced action game project" he is referring to; these were actually used in-game despite the comment above:
