Original Soundtrack for 'Beyond Hanwell', the Horror sequel to Steel Arts Software's 'Welcome To Hanwell'.
"Explore Westminster, London on a journey to the ruins of Hanwell. Fight with whatever you can find or use the environment to defend yourself against an ever increasing scourge of Anomalies."
For the next chapter in the story of Hanwell, James built the score around a terrifying electro-acoustic instrument; 'The Esoteric Machine'. Deeply recording dark percussive scrapes, plucks and bowing on metal, these horrifying sounds would be met with aggressive, distorted synths and orchestral strings. Many themes from the original game return in new unique and ways, highlighted by Shila Vikström's haunting vocal performance.
Each track has been derived from the original loops from the game, turning them into a more musical listening experience, then mixed and mastered.
