Cactus Blossoms Revisited (Original Soundtrack)

Disc 1
Notes
This is the soundtrack that I wrote for Cactus Blossoms Revisited, a documentary film by Koji Lau-Ozawa and Brynn Saito about a book of poetry written by high school students at the Gila River WWII Incarceration Camp. As a descendant of a different WWII Incarceration Camp, Rohwer, I was honored to be asked to write music to underscore interviews with descendants discovering the poetry that their parents and grandparents wrote while unjustly held in the desert.
All compositions, VST performances, mixing, and mastering by Ian Martyn Special thanks to Koji Lau-Ozawa and Brynn Saito for inviting me to contribute to this incredible project, and also to Kimiko Marr of Japanese American Memorial Pilgrimages (JAMP) for connecting me with Koji and Brynn. Album cover photo and design by Ian Martyn |
