Notes

"Winter holds so much magic: Christmas, Winter Solstice, people gathering to eat, drink, and laugh... With our full length album at the end of production, we wanted to give something to all of you who have stuck around with us. This three track EP, Winterhearth, is full of the emotions and cheer that this time of year brings. Winterhearth is a little extra something for our fans to whet their appetites for our full release coming in January. I hope you enjoy this EP and what we have in store for you soon!"

Best Regards,
Josh Barron

"This is a traditional song found throughout Germanic Europe, with versions existing in Denmark, Iceland, and Germany, among others. I've chosen to sing it in Danish with a final verse that I translated into English."

"I really love this piece for the melody and the message of hope that it brings. It is sorrowful, intimate, yet hopeful and reverent. For this version, I chose to take a Celtic route. I knew Ian (Martyn) and our latest addition, Bethany (Wanket), would be perfect choices. Bethany's skilled touch at the Celtic violin passages really send chills down the spine and Ian's performance of everything else from guitar and mandolin, to Irish whistle and Bodhran give the piece warmth and vibrancy. I even threw in God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen for good measure and gave some interplay between violin and whistle. In the end, this piece offers a subdued side compared to the rousing offerings by Ian and Masha. I hope you enjoy it!"
