"I wanted this album to be the next entry in a potential series of complete game soundtrack cover albums. I followed the same formula for my first Castlevania release: one instrument for each of the channels of the original NES soundtrack, a note-for-note performance of the original composition (with the drums embellished a bit), and each track was recorded at the exact same tempo as its original counterpart so that it will perfectly lay on top of the game.

Despite its recent criticism, I still stand by Simon's Quest. It's extremely nostalgic for me, but even without the sentimental value I think it's a great game. The amount of exploration combined with its confusing and cryptic nature makes it one of the most immersive horror titles to date. Perhaps the greatest part of the game though is its soundtrack and as such I needed to pay my personal brand of homage to its greatness."
