Yasuyuki Nagata is a video game composer and sound designer at SEGA. After joining the company's AM R&D DEPT. #2, he quickly became a prominent composer behind its series like Shining Force CROSS, BORDER BREAK, Virtua Fighter and MJ. He has since also became the lead composer for Eiketsu Taisen.

Nagata's music takes inspiration from heavy metal and loud rock, as well as electronic music by independent Western labels Warp Records and Brainfeeder. He has also experimented with drum & bass and chiptune.
