Poppin'Party is a band created in the multimedia franchise "BanG Dream!". It was the first band formed for the franchise. In addition to their animated representation, the voice actors also perform their respective instruments in live productions.

The band was formed by Takaaki Kidani, the founder of Bushiroad, who approached Aimi to lead the group. She announced her intent to join at a solo concert on February 28, 2015. By the first Poppin'Party live show on April 18, Rimi Nishimoto and Ayasa Ito had also joined to debut the group's first original song, "Yes! BanG_Dream!".

On June 14, 2015, Sae Otsuka was announced as the band's guitarist at their second live show. Finally, Ayaka Ohashi debuted as the last member on October 11. Subsequently, the group released their first single on February 24, 2016.
