Notes

Takenobu Mitsuyoshi is a composer, signer, keyboardist and bassist at SEGA since 1990. He is best-known for his work on DAYTONA USA, the Virtua Fighter series, Shenmue, the WORLD CLUB Champion Football series and SEGA's rhythm games maimai, CHUNITHM and ONGEKI. He is also notable for singing songs in the VICTORY GOAL series, Fighters MegaMix, Burning Rangers, The Rub Rabbits!, the Initial D arcade games and the Phantasy Star series. composing music to G-LOC [R360], Virtua Racing, the SEGA RALLY series, CRACKIN'DJ PART2, Let’s Go Jungle & Let’s Go Island, StarHorse3 and 404 GAME RE:SET -Error Game Reset-.

Mitsuyoshi is also a frequent voice actor in SEGA games, most notably voicing the ninja character Kage-Maru in the Virtua Fighter series (except for VF2).

He has performed live countless times, as a member of S.S.T.BAND, B-univ, Sega Sound Unit [H.] and as a solo artist, and has even hosted an official SEGA dinner show. He is a very visible online personality, hosting several shows themed around SEGA music, such as SEGA SOUND STREET.

Mitsuyoshi's music takes cues from black contemporary, motown, techno pop, 80's Western music, jazz and fusion genres. His biggest influences are the artists Yellow Magic Orchestra, CASIOPEA, T-SQUARE and Chick Corea, and he is also inspired by the soundtracks to Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back and Mobile Suit Gundam among others.
