Joined AJIADO after graduating from university and worked there for five years. After that, he became a freelancer.
Founded Megaten Studio in 1992 with Mitsuru Hongo and Yoshihiko Takakura, leaving the studio to them when he left in 2007.
Since 2005, illustration work was done under the alias Takayasu Kawamura [河邑昴保/河村昂保].
