Joined Toshiba Musical Industries Ltd. in 1969, initially in charge of Western music sales.
Later migrated to Japanese music producer in 1973, eventually becoming a director at the company in 1997.
Left Toshiba EMI in November 2002. The following year, he established the performing arts agency Obbligato.
