Thomas Ross “Tom” Whitlock (1954–2023) was an American songwriter and musician from Springfield, Missouri, best known for co-writing the Oscar- and Golden Globe–winning “Take My Breath Away” (from Top Gun) and the hit “Danger Zone.”
