EDIT: I don't know if it was really used in Snowhead Temple / Snow Mountain (even though it's in that bank), but I definitely hear it in Ikana Valley, and it is much more audible in the actual game than in the track on the soundtrack release (PICA-2006 anyway). It starts about 0:07.

Yea its probably it. Also in that track Ikana Valley 0:06 that scrap synth thing I have heard in a library. Most likely Distorted reality.
