I can't weigh until I get some real listening time with FFXV and SaGa Scarlet Grace.
But generally, Adventures of Mana was IMO the pinnacle of how to do a *good* remake soundtrack.
(ironically, the pinnacle example of how NOT to do a remake soundtrack was that other Kenji Ito one, SaGa 2 DS)
Oh, and Steins;Gate 0 soundtrack, I just started listening to that today, and I dig it.
