I randomly picked up this album (
https://vgmdb.net/album/2415) off of a bargain shelf at Book Off, not knowing anything about it, for just ¥280. Upon listening to it, I found that every track on it was incredible! Of course, I hopped on this site to check out the composers and saw one familiar name, Katsuhiro Hayashi, but I had never heard of Takeshi Abo. I ended up tracking down a couple more of his soundtracks and I was equally impressed. I didn't stop. I've picked up eleven of his soundtracks in about two weeks. Maybe I was just out of the loop, but I'm really surprised I hadn't heard his name come up in the VGM circles I run with. He has easily become one of my favorite VGM composers.
