Also, we should be able to rate the artist itself on his own page, instead of using the average of the album ratings, as that can be misleading overall.

You can search by artist through the advanced search options. As for artist rating, well, if an artists makes shit albums, that will be justly reflected through their rating. I don't see how it is mis-representative.
