A little information on the series this album is on:

Getter Robo has long been considered the "arch-rival" series to Go Nagai's classic "Mazinger Z". It was also the first true "gattai mecha" to enter the scene.

If someone ever asks you which would win in a fight: Shin Getter Robo or Mazinkaiser, the answer is...its a tie.

DEFINITION: "Gattai Mecha"
The word "gattai" means "combine". Basically, a gattai mecha is a giant mecha formed from a combination of many smaller individual mecha.

Prime examples of gattai mecha include Getter Robo, Voltron, and of course, the various Megazords of Power Rangers fame.
