There are definitely improvements in the Yasunori Mitsuda based Revival Discs (Chrono Cross, Chrono Trigger, Xenogears), while there are hardly no differences (at least to me) in Uematsu's Final Fantasy Revival Discs. I didn't notice anything special at FF7 RD and the other ones were simply reprints of their Remastered Versions a few years earlier I guess.

You can easily hear the differences in percussive tracks like "The Brink of Death" or "Whirlwind" but also tracks like "Plains of Time (Home World)" sound much clearer now and less muddled. I really enjoy this kind of remastering.
