Heh.. sounds like a place for a poll. Isn't there a way to just add personal preferences to edit it for the user only? I'm not sure how it would work, if it's a simple add option or if it would change everything, but maybe it's as simple as changing the number, but it would affect everyone in that way.
I think if it were to affect everyone, I would go for 50, but this is one person speaking here, heh..
