Why only licensed music?

Here are a few I can think of:

"O Fortuna" from Carl Orff's Carmina Burana. Used for the FFVII commercials, and probably a bunch of other games too.

Every Tony Hawk game ever. Here's an example from Tony Hawk 3:

(IMO, Tony Hawk 2 had the best music.)

Every Grand Theft Auto game, esp 3 and beyond.

Hikaru Utada's "Hikari" (for KH1) and "Passion" (for KH2). They were written for the games but they also stand apart as their own tracks on her full albums, so ... maybe licensed? Yes?

Devics' "The Salty Seas" used at the end of Telltale's The Walking Dead Season 2 Ep 4. All episodes end with a licensed song, but this one is EASILY the best. Here:

Every sports game ever, probably.

Check all the Guitar Hero and Rock Band playlists.

That should get you well over 1000 songs. Have fun.
