Assuming the average retail vgm albums still sells around 1~2k copies, that provides a meager gain at virtually nill additional investment expense.
If there was zero gain then ALL record companies would stop selling vgm entirely, so these meager 1k sale amounts must barely be enough to (thankfully!) still be worth somebody's time to produce them.
