To some extend I can understand you Jormungand, but I'm not going to (pre-)judge this until I've actually heard the final piece of work. In particular because Mitsuda is not the only one on board. And sometimes amazing things can happen when multiple composers are working together on a single project. With the emphasis on "together", so not in the sense: "everyone does their own thing, and then later all tracks are tossed in one big bucket".

I'm definitely looking forward to this, even if it doesn't turn out to be a second Xenogears or Chrono Cross. I have the impression that Mitsuda really wants to work more with orchestra at the moment, despite him still struggling with the process (IMO Valkyria was OK, but not great). Also, I expect Mariam Abounnasr to return as orchestrator, so this should be a good opportunity to flex her muscles.
