Well, the bigger question is if vgmdb wants to store albums or releases. As in, if the same album gets released via various distributors, should multiple entries be created? Same goes for albums that are released on various stores (Bandcamp, iTunes, etc.)
My current approach is updating albums with more current information as we re-release many previously-released indie/doujin albums. UPCs and product codes get added.
Is that how information should be stored? I don't mind adding it either way.
