This is what I was afraid of the whole time. Seems like Konami just reprints those old recordings, which have SFX mixed in with some tracks. Didn't this happen on some other album as well? Maybe the box set 10 years ago?

I don't find it weird, but I do find it sad. Scitron probably just did their own recordings, and Konami probably just uses old recordings out of laziness (costs less money) or ignorance (amongst the decision makers in the company regarding soundtrack releases).
