Querying the composer credits of this CD. They're widespread and I also use them, but I have issues with them. Here are the game credits for the Arcade versions of Street Fighter:
- Street Fighter - Yoshihiro Sakaguchi
- Street Fighter II - Yoko Shimomura, Isao Abe
- Super Street Fighter II - Syun Nishigaki, Isao Abe
On this basis, I assume Sakaguchi's contribution is limited to a reprise from the original Street Fighter. I don't here much in Capcom Game Music Vol. 3 though I haven't listened extensively? He had left Capcom way before Super Street Fighter II was made.
Secondly, who is Tetsuya Nishimura? Not a Capcom employee I've ever heard of. I assume he was mistaken for Syun Nishigaki who composed most of the new tracks in Super Street Fighter II?
I should have spotted these inconsistencies sooner, but I didn't know that much about Capcom music until recently and still can't be 100% sure of my suspicions.
