I realize it's tongue-in-cheek towards the eroge and adult anime industry, but that doesn't change the fact that rape may be too sensitive an issue to be joking about in a tongue-in-cheek manner.
It reminds me of people who use the term loosely to mean I conquered someone/something. Like, "I raped that math test, it was so easy." If someone who's been raped or has someone close to them who's been raped hears that in passing, it brings back all sorts of horrid memories.
So I'm not sure prudishness is the only issue here. Sensitivity to real human beings is a slightly more virtuous reason to object to it than being a prude.
