My covers only came in a resealable plastic sleeve, did yours come in something else? If the CDJapan bonus really is a clearfile, I wouldn't try to do anything with it, except maybe insert a white or black paper inside of it, and try to scan one side at a time. All clearfiles I've received in the past have been stamped together at the edges, so I doubt you'll be able to get it back together if you open it up completely.
