Yoko Kanno (#319)
I know she has a lot of fans, and I've heard a good deal of Yoko Kanno score in various anime, but I've never noticed any consistent personality in her music. Usually, after I've heard enough of someone's work, I can hear similar stylistic traits throughout, from a specific kind of arrangement to a melodic quirk, although I know that there are people out there with more musical training and a better ear, so to speak.
I don't want anyone to take this the wrong way, but I'm wondering if anyone here can point to personal musical traits in her work. Give examples and such.
