Why showing it when selecting and then just make it disappear in the main (non-edit) view?
I can't quite imagine that complicating this would be the solution. And I can't especially imagine SS (or Blah) would have the time to code more specific options, I think getting these categories more than a year after the original request is as good as it can get.
