Not only that, it can be specified further. Recent changes included options such as Movie/Series/OVA under platform (so it's not only bunch of consoles now).
Bottom line - platform isn't only for games anymore.
The change is covered in the forums, but it could be confusing for new editors because the help text when choosing platforms isn't updated yet so it explains the field is usable for animation soundtracks. e.g:
