The PS1 port had new music? If not, then Takuya Miyawaki, Naoto Tanaka, and Toshio Kajino should be arrangers.

In the notes to this album it says:
"Disc 4 of CPCA-10264~73" Should it have its own separate listing then? |

I clicked on the store page and it says it's a digital download. "The official soundtrack to Mega Man® 4 is now available for download. Buy it now!" The contents appear to be the same as the CD. I changed the format to "Digital".
Edit: Oh wow, they have the music to Mega Man 1 through 6 for sale there, for $8.95 per album. http://shop.capcom.com/store/capcomu...and-music.html The proper cover looks to be the CD artwork, like this. Last edited by Foxhack; Sep 28, 2013 at 10:41 AM. |

Others from the same 2013 'batch' have it too. And could be removed.

I don't see the reason why it needs to be removed, other than being capricious. I think it's about time we drive a consensus on this, more so given the thread that was linked to.

Yeah, I was just going with the logic if it's removed from this album, others should get the same treatment.
I also think a standard for these symbols should be established. Not completely helping to remove it from some albums and not from others. Same thing for trademark symbol which hasn't been removed from those three albums Nisto linked in December 2011. It's not the first time (and certainly not the last) we have inconsistencies. |

Well, inconsistencies spice things up a bit. But all kidding aside, the sooner this can be settled the better; it could be the stepping stone towards getting other stuff done.

Such symbols are removed because they're not part of a title, they're informational symbols. ™ is used to indicate that the following title is trademarked, but it is not part of the title itself. Just the same, ® is used to indicate that the following title is registered. If the title is "Mega Man 4", then to show that title is registered, you would write "Mega Man 4®". If the title is "Mega Man 4®", then in order to show THAT title is registered, you would have to include a second registered symbol, because now the title "Mega Man 4®" is not registered because the ® symbol is part of the title, it's not registering it.
It depends on whether or not we want to write titles in the title field, or everything in the title field. I think we're writing titles, but if we want to include such symbols, just let us know, so I can start making a whole lot of changes ![]() |

Indeed, these symbols are simply not part of the title. But apparently that conflicts with everything I do, somehow. It's like these people don't understand that I rely on standards, not on any opinion of my own.
