This album is synth-orchestral and very very reminiscent of Ocarina of time. A lot of it has kind of a marching, militaristic feel to it, suitable for the game content, but maybe a little unusual for casual listening. It also felt a little nondescript and unassuming. Recommended for classical lovers.

I'd say Kondo's ending theme is reminiscent of Ocarina of Time, but that's about the extent of it in my mind. Wakai is a very different composer and didn't make his tunes really catchy, though I think they are good.

If I had a million dollars, I'd pay to get a faithfully orchestrated version of this entire soundtrack (well, except for "Title Theme" and "Select Theme", of course).

Oh man!! I would love to hear faithful takes on these good songs! Say, guys, what are the chances of Hajime Wakai and Koji Kondo coming back to the Star Fox Series, taking their songs from 64 and beautifully Orchestrating them with LIVE PLAYERS as well as adding in new parts? I really can't wait for Star Fox Wii U anymore!!! Let's hope that it'll be a PROMISING Soundtrack...OH! And here's to hoping that Star Fox Wii U Gets a OST Release by Club Nintendo!!!!!! xD

Well, whatever they may come up with, it can't possibly sound worse than Starfox 64 3D.

You mean the Club Nintendo that just got shut down?

Star Fox Assault translates a few of the N64 songs into live orchestral pieces, and they've appeared in higher quality in various forms throughout the years. I still always prefer the originals, though.

Club Nintendo won't be truly dead until September 30. So hopefully Nintendo gives Star Fox a summer release date.

Club Nintendo was never really alive. It had hype when they until you could stop earning coins. I can say that the new program will be a loyal fans reward.
