Worth noting that this OST does not include at least two tracks: the staff roll theme (presumably composed by Takayuki Aihara, credited in-game and he is experienced with orchestral stuff), and Nobuyoshi Sano's "Jam" which was used for the character introductions video. Not sure why these were left out and it's a shame because Sano's track is very good.
Also a shame there isn't a proper composer breakdown for the other tracks. While I could be wrong, I don't believe Shinji Hosoe and Ayako Saso co-wrote all of those together so it more likely means "Shinji Hosoe or Ayako Saso". The Sano co-credit on the first track seems to be for voice/SFX editing instead of composition. He also detailed his experiences with the sound editing stuff on his wiki, which was sadly stressful for him. |

I was under the impression Jam wasn't actually used in-game but was rather written for a separate, gameplay footage LD that was released later, which is why it wasn't included on this album https://www.lddb.com/laserdisc/46865/

Ah you're right, whoops. I remembered his page for it on his wiki said it was written in January 1995 (well after the game's release in mid-1994), and this laserdisc came out in March 1995. The credits roll theme seems to be exclusive to it too. Hope the LD can be ripped in lossless someday.

It's odd because the Theater 6 version of Galaxian³ specifies individual composers for some tracks but not others, making me think those really may have been collaborative efforts (one composing a draft and the other rearranging it for the final version perhaps)

Yeah that one credits Shinji Hosoe and Ayako Saso for composing multiple tracks together. Some of them were originally composed by Hosoe and arranged by Saso or Takayuki Aihara (who seems to have been his go-to person for orchestral arrangements). Maybe all the tracks here are collaborative too, I was just a bit skeptical since I rarely see Hosoe and Saso co-compose tracks together, despite their close relationship.
