This album is composed and performed by Maaya Sakamoto, who is a very influential singer and voice actor for anime and games since the 90s.

I think her original work album should have a place in vgmdb even when the album itself isn't directly related to any particular anime or game.

Hmmm. You can read about Discographies in VGMdb Scope here https://vgmdb.net/forums/showthread.php?t=22321 (Category 3). And I think Maaya Sakamoto never composed or arranged for game or anime bgm (cmiiw)

Well she did compose songs for several animes.

For example, track 14 of this album.

tI am not aware of her composing BGM (not vocal), bit if you can find one, we can reactivate it.

The other Maaya Sakamoto albums are in the database because the composers or arrangers on the album have worked on bgm (for example, Yoko Kanno). But this album, Maaya Sakamoto seemingly composed all the songs.

Those are all vocals. It needs to be BGM. The off-vocal track doesn't count as BGM.

It seems a fair distinction if I may humbly say so.
