Reason: Is Malignant Variation some kind of doujin game that just uses music from other sources? Generally, we don't link the original sources of a game's soundtrack; we just link the game, so the products would be just MV in this case.

Yes, this is a soundtrack for Malignant Variation, a game produced by the same circle. Or maybe more accurately, the remake version 味も見ておこう, given the "今回の味もみておこうのサウンドトラック" blurb on the album page. (I have no idea if there were music changes between the versions.)

"Malignant Variation" isn't a game at all, it's actually a doujin anime video, hence the DVD-VIDEO on the page and also why the Download page mentions DivX: https://web.archive.org/web/20050212.../download.html

As for products however, I'm not sure if this means the other products I put in for here can be kept since this is an Animation, or if they should still be removed. If the latter, I'll move the products info to notes instead.

Also fwiw, I think Final of Final -The MV Music 2- is also a soundtrack for another AQUA-STYLE animation called "MALIGNANT VARIATION FINAL" (abbr. マリグナFINAL). Maybe the products can be kept here as well like for that album?

Ah! Yeah, the same policy would apply to animations too (and live action and whatever else). The products should be removed from the other album as well.

Yeah. I would like someday to document and link games whose music is reused in other products, but that idea will require some further development.
